The measurement systems of our partner company Dantec Dynamics provide professional solutions for the optical measurement of deformation, displacement and vibration.
The measurement principle is based on digital 2D or 3D image correlation (Digital Image Correlation - DIC). It is a non-contact optical technique for measuring shape, deformation, vibration and stress on almost any material. This technique is useful for tests involving torsion, bending or combined loading.
The method is applicable for tiny samples (micro DIC) through to large test units (deflection measurement of bridge structures). The measurement results are easily comparable with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) results or those obtained using strain gauges.
